📖 Description

This artwork was created in 1996, the year of the fire that destroyed the Teatro La Fenice in Venice. Inspired by that dramatic event, the artist depicts the mythical bird rising from its ashes as a symbol of rebirth and transformation.  

The Phoenix emerges from the flames not only renewed, but elevated through knowledge, represented by the suspended elements that evoke fragments of memory, culture, and awareness.

Fire is not only destruction, but also origin.  

The Phoenix becomes a metaphor for resilience, regeneration, and the ability to transform tragedy into creative power.
