Valley of Free Thought
This project was born in 2001/2004. After exploring polymaterial techniques in oil within the Cosmological Collection, I decided to experiment with the same approach using acrylic - a different substance, a different way for color to breathe.At its core, the project is a journey: a return to childhood in order to reach the Island of Free Thought. A place where happiness emerges without prejudice, without desire, living reality as it is, seeing what others cannot see.The stylized children, the forms - even the most complex ones — drawn with the hand of a child, the mountains, the colors: everything is filtered through a child’s gaze. Only a child can believe that a stone sphere might fly.

Questo progetto nasce nel 2001. Dopo aver esplorato il polimaterico a olio nella Collezione Cosmologica, decisi di sperimentare la stessa tecnica con l’acrilico — una materia diversa, un altro modo di respirare il colore.
Il cuore del progetto è un viaggio: un ritorno all’infanzia per raggiungere l’Isola del Libero Pensiero. Un luogo dove la felicità si manifesta senza pregiudizi, senza desideri, vivendo la realtà per ciò che è, vedendo ciò che gli altri non vedono.
Le figure stilizzate, le forme infantili anche quando complesse, le montagne, i colori: tutto è filtrato dallo sguardo di un bambino. Solo un bambino può credere che una palla di pietra possa volare.
